We acknowledge Anchorage was built upon Dgheyay Kaq’, ancestral territories of the Dena’ina Alaska Native Peoples. We honor their past, present, and future generations by acknowledging the persistence of Indigenous worldviews throughout Alaska, promoting land back, language back, and Indigenous-led causes. We are grateful to those who have held relationship with these lands, waters, plants and creatures for millennia and to whom these spaces, places, and times will forever be homelands.
